Preston Baublit
Norman High School
Sophomore baseball player Preston Baublit is known for his speed around the bases and in the field, but there is one area of his game he continues to work and improve.
“This season I have worked on my hitting,” said Baublit.
His bat alongside his teammates ability to drive in runs has equaled the Tigers getting off to a nice start this season.’
“The team has potential to be really good we just have to figure it out,” said Baublit. They appeared to have some things figured out at the San Marcos tournament where they defeated good teams like Seguine High School, Boerne High School, and Harker Heights.
Baublit said the San Marcos tournament is one of his favorites.
“Playing in San Marcos freshman year is one of my favorite memories as a Norman Tiger,” said Baublit.
Also a football player, Baublit said he loves the energy his teammates bring to the field and the friendships he’s made through baseball.
The sophomore enjoys hanging out with friends, playing MLB The Show, and said the best player in MLB is Ronald Acuna Jr.
The Norman Tigers have five road games left in the season which includes trips to PC West,
Yukon, Mustang, PCO, and Elgin to end the regular season.
