Norman volleyball player Caroline Soto spoke with VYPE to express he goals for the future.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
CS: My personal goal for this year would be to make a big impact on my varsity team and hopefully win some tournaments.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
CS: The most fun i’ve had this year would be traveling with my rise club team and making great memories.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
CS: My favorite teacher would be my fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Cooksey, because she always made the classroom a happy place.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
CS: Being able to experience AAU Nationals last year would be my best athletic memory.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
CS: Losaline Makahununiu has made the biggest impact on me because she makes me a better outside and pushes me to improvement.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
CS: My favorite part of NHS varsity is making long-term friendships and having coaches who push me to the best of my ability.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
CS: I would choose to go to the beach and I would take my family, of course.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
CS: I would spend my $500 on helping dogs in need and the ones in shelters.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I have helped bag food for homeless people and plan on getting more involved this year.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
CS: I was involved in Leadership my freshman year and will join more clubs like it soon.
VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor
Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?
CS: I will also be involved in National Honors Society this upcoming year.
