Kaden Sandersfield enjoys playing golf. He is a member of the Southmoore varsity golf team and plays the game whenever he has the opportunity. He works hard to get better with each and every round he plays. He says that his motivation comes from wanting to be the best.
“My desire to be successful is what pushes me to keep working hard,” he said. “I learned it from my parents who have been outstanding role models for me. They are both the hardest workers I know and have sacrificed a lot for me.”
When he is working on his golf game, he works on every aspect of it. But he knows that there is one key part of the game that can make or break your round.
“Putting is what most often determines your success in a round,” Kaden said. “You could be hitting the ball great off the tee, but if you are struggling with putting, it could sink your game.”
Brad Black, the boy’s golf coach at Southmoore, says that Sandersfield has pure talent and will be a key player this season.
“Kaden has one of the best swings I have ever seen,” he stated. “He will be one of our top players.”
Whenever he is practicing, Kaden, a junior, enjoys practicing with his teammates because he knows that it will make him a better player. And he adds that his squad is a pretty good one, even if some people do not realize it.
“I like to battle with all the varsity players,” he said. “We are all competitive and keep pushing each other every day. We have a good team and I think our team as a whole is under appreciated because we are better than people think.”
If he is not out on the golf course or on the driving range, there is a good chance that Sandersfield is catching up on his social media. He follows a lot of people but says he does have a favorite one to follow.
“I really like to follow NishCooks,” he said. “He puts some really good recipes out there.”
