Westmoore boys soccer preview – Presented by Raising Cane’s

Coach Joe Shepherd and the Jaguars made it to the state tournament last season, but their year came to an end at the hands of the Norman Tigers.

The road defeat was a tough one to swallow, but coach Shepherd immediately turned his attention to the upcoming season.

The 2023 Westmoore Jaguars will feature four seniors and 10 juniors this year. The lineup is sprinkled with a few capable underclassmen as well.

The seniors are Kalor Killman (GK), Karsen Alamillo (Def), Michael Sheaffer (Def), and Lucas Young (Mid).

Juniors on the roster include Jaxson Lee (Def), Miseal Santos (Def), Julio Villatoro (Mid), Carter Harris (Mid), Tristan Herrera (F), Miguel Felix (F), Devon To (F), Gabe Buxton (F), Scott Ie (Def), and Quintin Burrow (GK).

The sophomores are Bryce Marshall (F), and Zachary Ross (Def).

Two freshmen are on the roster as well. They are Alazar Andrews (Mid), and Edgar Rios (F).

The Jags will open the season at Putnam City West on February 21st. Other games of note include a playoff rematch with Norman, at Norman on March 3rd and a home game versus Southmoore on March 9th. District play begins on March 28th at Norman North and the regular season closes out at home versus Mustang on April 18th.
