As the cheer mats unfurl and the crowds gather, the Westmoore High School cheer team emerges with determination and passion under the mentorship of Head Coach Marcy Woodson. With a co-ed team comprising 21 females and one male, along with a vibrant JV program of 13 members, Westmoore ignites the spirit of excellence and camaraderie in every routine and every cheer.

“Our team embodies a relentless work ethic and a deep passion for what they do,” Woodson shared proudly. “Each day, they strive to elevate their skills and spirit. We’re excited to embark on this journey with such a dedicated group of athletes.”

Matthew Carmen stands as the team’s leader, showcasing exceptional skill and academic excellence. His remarkable abilities extend beyond the mat, earning him the prestigious Top Gun Tumbler title at a summer camp, a testament to his dedication and talent.

Kennedy Parker embodies the epitome of dedication, giving her all in every practice. As a longstanding member since 7th grade, Kennedy has not only grown as an athlete but has emerged as a leader within the team. Her academic excellence and contributions to her All-Star Team further underscore her remarkable achievements.

Emma Pratt emerges as a rising star among the underclassmen, showcasing promise and dedication to her craft. Her journey is one to watch as she navigates through the challenges and triumphs of cheerleading.

Morgan Hatchell quietly makes a significant impact on the team, working tirelessly behind the scenes without seeking recognition. Her contributions, though often unnoticed, are invaluable to the team’s success and cohesion.

Kynzie Johnson exemplifies outstanding character both on and off the mat, serving as a beacon of integrity and sportsmanship within the team. Her unwavering dedication and positive influence uplift the team’s spirit and camaraderie.
