Westmoore’s Jaxson Lee Athlete Spotlight Presented by Kristy and Ginny Freeman Shelter Insurance

At Westmoore High School, Jaxson Lee, a seasoned senior, shines on the soccer field and football turf, bringing his versatility to both sports. As a commanding center back in soccer, Jaxson’s leadership and skills set the tone for his team’s success.

Jaxson’s motivation stems from his deep-rooted connections. His “family and friends” serve as the driving force behind his commitment and dedication to sports. Within his circle, his parents emerge as significant influences and role models. Their unwavering commitment, even in challenging times, inspires Jaxson to give his best every day.

Recalling pivotal moments in his academic journey, Jaxson credits Mrs. Connors, a 7th-grade teacher, for imparting a crucial lesson: “Success requires hard work and the ability to enjoy the process.”

In the spotlight of his high school soccer career, Jaxson fondly remembers significant victories, notably defeating Southmoore 4-0 and Mustang 4-1. These triumphs add to the sense of accomplishment that comes with representing his school on the field.

Southmoore takes the spotlight as a favored opponent, with the cross-town rivalry adding an extra layer of excitement fueled by friendly competition and familiar faces on the opposing team.

Within the realm of practice, Jaxson thrives on the challenge posed by teammate Julio Villatoro, appreciating the mental acuity he brings to the game. Additionally, he singles out Gabriel Buxton, an often-overlooked player whose contributions set a tone for practice, elevating the team’s intensity.

Beyond sports, Jaxson actively participates in Club Soccer at Oklahoma Energy FC, showcasing his commitment to the beautiful game beyond high school. He also dons the football uniform and holds a place in the National Honor Society, balancing athletic success with academic excellence.

Turning to social media, Jaxson draws inspiration from Premier League players: “It makes me realize that getting better is always possible and I need to keep pushing.”

Representing Westmoore High School holds profound significance for Jaxson. “It means a lot. I always get jitters before games and winning games feels so much more important. It makes you feel much more accomplished when you represent your school in a win.”

As Jaxson’s high school chapter draws to a close, the next chapter awaits at Saint Louis University, where he is committed to continue his soccer journey. His skills and passion, honed on the fields of Westmoore, are set to make a lasting impact at the collegiate level.
