Kennedy Parker, a senior at Westmoore High School, has been cheering for the Jaguars since
she was a freshman. She’s also a member of National Honor Society.
“I also have been in competitive cheer since I was 6, and I am still doing that,” Parker said.
To this day, she’s still a member of Tribe Cheer.
“I absolutely love Tribe, because it is such a positive environment to be in,” Parker said. “I have
loved getting to meet new people and some of my closest friends have come from Tribe. This
experience has benefited me in so many ways. David Urmie [owner of Tribe Cheer] has done so
much for me. He has shown me what it takes to be the best of the best. He holds me
accountable even when I don’t feel like it, and I’m very thankful for that. . . Overall, this gym has
made me into the person I am today, and I am so grateful to be a part of Tribe Cheer.”
After graduation, plans to go to Ole Miss and later attend law school.
“I have been drawn to Ole Miss since seventh grade. I visited campus last spring and
immediately knew it’s where I wanted to attend college,” Parker said. “My aunt, who is one of
my favorite people actually, happens to be a lawyer. I’ve always looked up to her and wanted to
be just like her.”
She hopes to be remembered by her teammates as “someone who made a positive impact on
the lives of others.”
“I hope to be remembered for my kindness and compassion towards others,” Parker said. “I
hope to be remembered as a person who never gave up on their dreams.”
