Westmoore High School
Westmoore High School senior Tegan Navarro will take the pitch for her final season of prep soccer this year. A bitter-sweet moment for Navarro and her teammates. The relationships Navarro has built during her time at WHS are friendships that will last a lifetime.
“The thing I love most about my teammates is how they can always make me laugh and smile. They are also huge supporters and always pick each other up when they are down,” said Navarro.
The Class of 2024 student-athlete said she has loved the opportunities her school has given her on and off the field.
“The thing I love most about Westmoore High School is the opportunities that they provide for both their students and athletes,” said Navarro.
Navarro started playing soccer at the age of five, but she continues to improve her shills and work on her game in preparation for the season.
“I play center-mid and I have worked to improve my aggressiveness on the field so I win more 50/50 balls,” said Navarro. “I think our team is looking really good for this season. I think we have all the skills necessary to do very well this year.”
As a member of the senior class, Navarro is a member of the Senior Class Council and National Honor Society. The senior does have a favorite class and she is looking forward to the next chapter after high school.
“My favorite subject is math and Mrs. Yousey was one of my favorite math teachers that I had at Westmoore,” said Navarro. “After I graduate, I am going to Oklahoma State University to study Aerospace Engineering.” In her free time Navarro said she likes to bake for my cookie business (Teenies Treats) or spend time with friends.
