John Marshall Bears Boys Basketball Preview – Presented By Rhonda Littleton-Shelter Insurance

Coach: Patrick Cudjoe
21-22 Record: 11-12

Head coach Patrick Cudjoe has spent the summer preparing his team for what will be a very challenging schedule. “The John Marshall Bears return one fulltime starter and one part-time starter. They attempted to play a rugged summer schedule and hope to be much improved from last year’s team,” said coach Cudjoe. Derrick Lawrence (6-2, Sr.) returns at guard for the Bears. Lawrence is a prolific scorer and a three-year starter who can take defenders off the dribble and create enough

separation to get his shot off. Another consistent shooter is Erick Wilson (6-3, Jr.) at forward. Wilson has a consistent jump shot and tremendous athleticism. Daniel Ramahn (6-3, Sr.) is versatile enough to hurt you from the outside or post up in the paint. Jalil Abdullah (6-2, Sr.) is the third senior on this team and someone who is looking to make a name for himself this year. Other players to watch include Jamiere
Hill (6-3, Jr.), Pecola McCloud (5-10, Jr.), Derek Shaw (6-0, So.), Ivan Garcia (5-7, Jr.), Jamarie Debose (6-3, Fr.), and Dakovan Jackson (6-2, So.)
