Coming in to the 2022-23 season the Lady Bears and head coach Anthony L. Gardner are excited for what this season may hold. “Lady Bears are looking to be very competitive this season. Four returning starters, Kaylen Geretta, Jaliyah Young, Arie Allen with Jayla Lawson at the helm. Lady Bears are looking to continue their deep run into the playoffs,” said coach Gardner. Jayla Lawson is a three-year starter

for the Lady Bears and someone who can drain the three. Look for Lawson to take the leadership role this season. “She is known for extremely good shooting from the three-point line. She is ready to continue to help the Lady Bears be more competitive,” said coach Gardner. Other starters to watch this season include Kaylen Geretta, Jaliyah Young, and Arie Allen. Assisting coach Gardner this season are Mark Shuck and Jetta Smith. The schedule has the Lady Bears opening the season at Harding Charter Prep followed by five straight away games before playing OKC Douglass at home.
