9 Questions with Norman North Golfer Juliana Hong – Presented by Rib Crib

VYPE: Juliana, how is the NNHS girls golf team doing this season?

Hong: Our team is looking really good. We just shot one of our lowest scores in the last few years. I’m looking forward to seeing us qualify for state.

VYPE: What grade are you in and how long have you played golf?

Hong: I’m a sophomore and I’ve been playing golf for six years.

VYPE: What part of your game have you improved the most this season?

Hong: I’ve worked on my wedges a lot over the last year, getting them more controlled and with a lower flight.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite course to play?

Hong: My favorite course is the Jimmie Austin Golf Club.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?

Hong: I love how fun and supportive my teammates are. Because golf is a solo sport, it’s really nice to have teammates so we can practice with each other and get better together.

VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?

Hong: My favorite subject is math, and my favorite teacher is Ms. Hart who teaches it. I’m also part of Asian culture club.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?

Hong: I want to play collegiate golf.

VYPE: What makes being a student-athlete at NNHS special for you?

Hong: I love being able to represent my school doing the sport I love.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Hong: I enjoy playing guitar and watching movies.
