Landon and Hudson Hahn – Oklahoma Christian School – Soccer Spotlight

Landon and Hudson Hahn are juniors at Oklahoma Christian School. They both play soccer for the Saints, Landon plays center attacking midfielder, while Hudson is center mid. Hudson says that having a twin that plays the same sport can be an advantage that most people do not think of.

“Even though we’re twins, we don’t have twin telepathy or anything like that,” Hudson said. “Still, having a sibling your age who plays the same sport does have advantages. For one, it’s definitely helped us both to be more competitive, because neither one wants to be worse at something than the other. It is also helpful in that we do a lot of 1v1s, which is good practice and translates to real games. Overall, the sport depends on individual training and dedication, but having a twin is helpful.”

There have been people in each of their lives that have helped them become the player and the person that they are today. For Landon, his biggest role model is a former teammate.

“A big role model for me is Jacob Dowty, who graduated from OCS last year,” he said. “What was so special about Jacob is that he would always put his head down and do the hard work.”

The person that Hudson looks up to is someone that has been there since day one.

“My biggest influence, particularly in the game of soccer, is my dad. I specifically admire his ability at my age to balance soccer and school while trying to succeed in both.”

Throughout his career, Landon has made a lot of memories but he has one that stands out as his favorite.

“The highlight moment of my career was making a solo run into the box against Dallas Kicks Soccer Club, a top team in Dallas,” he recalled. “I got fouled, then scored the penalty to tie in the last minutes of the game.”

Hudson has faced a number of different teams throughout his career, but he says that there is one opponent he enjoys beating the most.

“The team I like playing the most is Crossings Christian School,” he said. “They are our rivals in most sports. We have not beat them across three games during my high school career, so beating them is a goal of mine going into my junior year.”
