BOYS BASKETBALL PLAYERS TO WATCH
Quincy Hopkins – Carl Albert
Quincy is a four year member of the Carl Albert basketball program and has really grown as a player and as a young man. He is maturing into the leadership role that the coaches expect from him. Quincy is a dynamic player on the court and will be leaned on to be a key player this season.
Ja’Mon Valentine – Choctaw
Valentine is an outstanding basketball player that gives it all he has when he is on the court. He works hard and is a great example to the younger players.
Roy Henderson – Midwest City
As a junior last season, he led the conference in scoring. He will look to continue with that dominance this season and help his team to a successful season.
GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYERS TO WATCH
Kate Davis – Choctaw
Davis is a hard worker and a driving force for her team. This season, the team will go as she goes.
Shelby Thornton – Del City
Shelby is a six-foot-two junior that has a high ceiling. She currently has one offer from Oklahoma Christian and is expected to be the team’s centerpiece this year. As a sophomore she averaged eight points and eight rebounds.
De’yanna Douglas – Midwest City
De’Yanna averaged a double double for the Lady Bombers this past season. She will look to continue to be a big time contributor for the team this season.
BOYS BASKETBALL UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH
Steven Anderson – Carl Albert
Steven has a bright future with the Titans. Coaches are looking for him to mature this season into a solid varsity player who can score and defend at the varsity level.
Jordan Valentine – Choctaw
Jordan is a solid player that is looking to make an impact on the varsity team this season. He has worked hard to get where he is today.
DJ Denson and Caleb Stephens – Midwest City
Denson was the conference Freshman of the Year last season while averaging 13 points per game. Caleb is an underratedsophomore and has a lot of potential.
GIRLS BASKETBALL UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH
Skylar Anderson, Jakary Brown, Essence Curry, and Audrey Plunkett – Carl Albert
These four outstanding athletes have the potential to be starters for Carl Albert as sophomores this season. The future is bright for the Lady Titans.
Aliyah Duval – Choctaw
Started as a freshman and is coming into her sophomore season ready to make a huge impact. Getting looks from multiple schools and was the conference Defensive Player of the Year last season.
Courtnie McCarroll – Del City
She’s a strong lefty guard who has the ability to finish through contact. She averaged ten points and six rebounds as a freshman.
Sevyn Miller – Midwest City
Sevyn is one of the hardest workers in the gym. She is expected to have a huge year for Midwest City.
