VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
Colin: District playoffs my freshman year. We played a tough doubleheader and I caught both games. We won our district for the first time in ten years.
VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing baseball?
Colin: It all started at Edmond All Sports when I was five years old. I have played ever since.
VYPE: What has baseball taught you that you use in your daily life?
Colin: It’s taught me how important teamwork is.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Colin: I developed a love for baseball when I started catching at eight years old. There is something about being behind home plate.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Colin: Braden Browning. He played a big leadership role in my high school career.
VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?
Colin: Yadier Molina, because he was the best catcher in the game throughout my childhood. Some of my favorite memories are watching him play in St. Louis.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Colin: My dad’s chicken tortilla soup.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Colin: Mrs. Wilson was my third-grade teacher. She is my favorite because she was patient with me. I wasn’t always the easiest student. Thank you, Mrs. Wilson.
