Hi, what are you looking for?

Moore/Norman

Q&A with Westmoore tight end Zane Zielny — Presented by Premier Healthcare

VYPE: First, tell us a bit about your football career. How did it start?
Zane Zielny: I got started at 8 playing with the Moore Jets. I followed that with playing at Brink. Then I have played at Westmoore all 4 years and I have been a Varsity starter since my sophomore year playing TE.

VYPE: Who got you to try football?
ZZ: My dad got me to play football.

VYPE: And why did you gravitate towards it and stick with it?
ZZ: The atmosphere and the physicality.

VYPE: How far do you want football to take you in life?
ZZ: I want to go as far as I can, I’ve loved the sport my whole life, and just trying to enjoy as much as I can.

VYPE: And how about your goals for the rest of this year?
ZZ: I want to win state in both football and basketball, and graduate with a 4.0 GPA.

VYPE: Why does Westmoore need you to accomplish that goal? What do you think you bring to the table?
ZZ: I’m very coach-able, and very disciplined. I think I always strive to do my job every time, so that helps the team.

VYPE: What’s one thing everybody should know about you?
ZZ: I’m very selfless.

VYPE: Last question, who’s one teammate that’s had a great impact on you, and why?
ZZ: Probably Connor Cavnar. He’s always getting the team hype and bringing the energy
