BOYS
Coach: Kolton Brown
20-21 Record: 5-9

The Union City Tigers enter the new season with three returning players that are expected to provide leadership and give head coach Kolton Brown quality minutes on the court. “We have three senior that will lead our group. Along with them are two juniors and a group of nine sophomores that will give us some good depth. Our length will be our strong suit,” said coach Brown. Blake Ross (6-4, Sr.) is one of the three seniors coach Brown is looking to this season for big plays. Ross will start at forward with Rustin Dawson (6-6, Sr.) at center. The pair will certainly cause problems for opponents this season. Jaden Straka (6-1, Sr.) and Braydon Armstrong (5-10, Jr.) are two guards coach Brown is excited to see play this season. Also look for Tyler Norton (6-4, Jr.) at forward and JD Riley (6-0, So.) at guard. Riley can score in any way and can facilitate like an experienced senior. Overall the depth will be a strength this season, but look for the Tigers to step it up on the defensive end and be a tough out be year-end.

GIRLS
Coach: Daniel Anderson
20-21 Record: 5-9

With a plethora of players returning to the court for head coach Daniel Anderson, the Lady Tigers are poised for a big year. “We return seven seniors and have several underclassmen that will play very important roles this year. We should be well-rounded and deeper off the bench than we have been the past few seasons,” said coach Anderson. Taytim Woods (5-3, Sr.) averaged 18 points a game over the last two seasons. She was a Washita Valley All-Conference selectee the last two seasons. She is an outstanding point guard and will be a crucial piece of the puzzle. Also look for Kailee and Bailee Jackson. This set of twins work hard every practice and game to ensure the team is ready. They bring a high level of energy to the court and communicate extremely well on the floor. Megan Goad (So.) continues to improve and is showing she could be a player who can contribute on the offensive and defensive ends of the court.
