Lance Williams – Shawnee High School

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Lance: I am a senior at Shawnee High School and I play football.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Lance: Mrs Hail. She was my Spanish teacher my freshman and sophomore years, and I always looked up to her because of the way she carries herself and uplifts others.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Lance: Ryan High. He’s not the biggest, fastest or strongest but he has so much heart for the sport of football and for all people.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?

Lance: You need to push past the hard things to make a better version of yourself.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Lance: That would be my dad. He has always been there for me and my mom and my siblings and he’s always provided and has been a very supportive figure in my faith in Christ.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Lance: I want to thank my parents. They’ve been a blessing for me to have and to look up too, I couldn’t ask for anyone better.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Lance: My all time favorite meal is my mom’s potato soup.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?

Lance: I look up to Michael Turk, he was a punter for Oklahoma and was gonna be a punter for The Miami Dolphins before getting waived. I like the way he expresses his faith in God is unmatched to anyone I’ve seen.
