OFFENSE

The Noble Bears are ready to learn from last season and make some big improvements this upcoming season. Head coach Greg George says that he likes the potential that he sees in his squad. “We are a young team that grew up a lot,” he said. “If we can stay healthy, we should give ourselves a chance to make the playoffs.” Assisting George this season will be Tyler Solomon, Kyle Davidson, Ray Crawley, Chris Jones, Keith Treat, Aaron Shockley, Scott Milette, and Colby Whitlock. The Bears offense returns eight starters, including quarterback Colin Fisher (6-2, 190, Jr.), who threw for 1,771 yards and 17 touchdowns last season. Austin Tener (6-2, 250, Sr.), Caden Reed (6-0, 250, Sr.), and Trenton Hickock (6-3, 265, Sr.) will all three help anchor the offensive line and keep Fisher upright. The wide receiver duo of Trevor Lorenz (6-3, 190, Sr.) and Brandon Harper (5-9, 170, Jr.) combined for 845 receiving yards and eleven touchdowns last season. Lorenz is a solid athlete that will be a three-year starter for the Bears. He has big-play potential every time he touches the ball on offense. He is also being looked at by some colleges.

DEFENSE

Bryson Crawley (5-10, 185, Sr.) registered 81 tackles last season, while Caden Dominey (6-2, 185, Sr.) tallied 65. Both will play at the linebacker position and look to cause problems for their opponents. Luke Conley (5-11, 185, Jr.) who ended last season with 55 tackles, along with Hickock, will do the dirty work in the trenches of the defensive line this season. Lorenz will return to the free safety position and Harper will be at cornerback. Both will look to be more aggressive this season and increase their number of interceptions. An underclassman for the Bears to keep an eye on is Logan Kirby (So.). He saw some playing time as a freshman last season and could see some starts in the secondary this season.
