Kizer Takes 3rd at State – Presented by Ortho Central

Dimitri Kizer

Del City High School

In his sophomore season, Dimitri Kizer added another accolade to his resume. Kizer placed 3rd at 132-pounds in the state tournament by defeating Colby Longanacre of Chickasha by fall.

Kizer has wrestled since the age of seven and he loves being on the mat and working out with his teammates.

“I enjoy the team the most, I like how everyone is very supportive of each other, and how they push me to do better,” said Kizer.

Solely focused on wrestling as his sport of choice, Kizer said he wants to one day wrestle in college.

“I want to wrestle in college after I graduate. My family, they support everything I do and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them,” said Kizer.

We asked Kizer who the toughest wrestler on the team was this year, who was the person making everyone laugh and who was the most serious.

“I think Deontre Buttram is the toughest, Liam Daniels is the funniest, and DJ Wright is the most serious,” said Kizer.
