9Qs with Edmond North Golfer Ben McKee

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing golf?

Ben: I started playing in 8th grade. I was tired of playing baseball and always loved playing golf so I tried it out and stuck with it.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about golf?

Ben: Golf is a beautiful sport that beats down on you and makes you think about every little thing you do. The mental process and having a good mental game separates the good golfers from the great golfers. That makes me passionate to be the best player I can be.

VYPE: What has golf taught you that you use in your daily life?

Ben: That you can’t dwell on past mistakes. You always have to move on to the next task or shot.

Ben: Tiger Woods. He is the greatest golfer ever and worked hard for everything he did.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Ben: My 4th grade math teacher, Ms. Taylor Towne. She taught me chants in order to solve different problems which I still remember and use to this day!

VYPE: Which teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Ben: Jordan Wilson. He made me see what great play looked like and was always working hard.

Ben: Being able to have a great team who is always competing for tournament wins and has a competitive team every year!
